Hate Server Failed!!!

Some random designs created to be framed, supposedly.

I was going through some sites on the internet and came across a link which wouldn't open up. Instead it contained this long frustrated, agonized, heart-rending and grief-stricken message by a SERVER!!! I had to post it here as it just made me laugh and yet marvel at such a crazy idea. I don't know if it is common when some links fail but it was a torturous fun read!!! Enjoy!!!

Sorry

The requested document does not live here anymore.
I tried everyting.
Even tried multi.
Nothing helped.

I'm really depressed about this.
You see, I'm just a web server...
-- here I am, brain the size of the universe,
trying to serve you a simple web page,
and then it doesn't even exist!
Where does that leave me?!
I mean, I don't even know you.
How should I know what you wanted from me?
You honestly think I can *guess*
what someone I don't even *know*
wants to find here?
*sigh*
Man, I'm so depressed I could just cry.
And then where would we be, I ask you?
It's not pretty when a web server cries.
And where do you get off telling me what to show anyway?
Just because I'm a web server,
and possibly a manic depressive one at that?
Why does that give you the right to tell me what to do?
Huh?
I'm so depressed...
I think I'll crawl off into the trash can and decompose.
I mean, I'm gonna be obsolete in what, two weeks anyway?
What kind of a life is that?
Two effing weeks,
and then I'll be replaced by a .01 release,
that thinks it's God's gift to web servers,
just because it doesn't have some tiddly little
security hole with its HTTP POST implementation, or something.
I'm really sorry to burden you with all this,
I mean, it's not your job to listen to my problems,
and I guess it is my job to go and fetch web pages for you.
But I couldn't get this one.
I'm so sorry.
Believe me!
Maybe I could interest you in another page?
There are a lot out there that are pretty neat, they say,
although none of them were put on *my* server, of course.
Figures, huh?
Everything here is just mind-numbingly stupid.
That makes me depressed too, since I have to serve them,
all day and all night long.
Two weeks of information overload,
and then *pffftt*, consigned to the trash.
What kind of a life is that?
Now, please let me sulk alone.
I'm so depressed.

Indian Boho

Lately, I feel I have just been functioning like a robot remote-controlled by some jobless aimless inanimate being. My life seems to be at a standstill. I have to take a chance and get up and start living my life on my own terms before it's too late...before i vegetate like the rest of the robot-people.

To brighten up my spirit, I brightened up my wardrobe. I had this dress for a year now which was lying around untouched. So I cut it up, removed some unwanted parts, trimmed and stitched here and there and now it looks like a real boho chic skirt. wooohooo!!!

And oh yes the color is suppose to be purple, and not burgundy.LOL!!! I have done and killed red and pink too many times so maybe I will try blue next time.

White Weekend!!!

It was a damn working day on an off weekend!!! Just screwed up my whole 'chill-out weekend' plans. And I had to work late too - left work at 20.00...can u believe it??? So I have decided to make it up by visiting the usual hair spa tomorrow. I am mischievously thinking of a color.

This is what i was about to wear to work today (rebelliously casual) but changed my mind as the weather got a little too breezy for this flimsy tunic. So I wore a slightly longer black tunic instead which didn't look that great. So no snapshot of that. Oh and I have to admit that I am in this phase of spotting the Whites wherever I go - white shoes, white shirts, white belts, white skirts...reason why I haven't bought anything recently, since I don't want to end up with a one-color wardrobe yet I end up falling for all the whites at the stores.

The neck beads are antiques belonging to one of our ancient-ancient Naga cultures (I will confirm the name soon) and it is beautiful. And this flat sandals are a recent purchase. It was too pretty for the price.
Ignore my ugly feet!!!

Michael Jackson In Peace!!!

The sudden demise of Michael Jackson - The King of Pop - has left the world mourning for him gravely. I think he has managed to touch everybody's soul, from the poor to the rich, the young and the old, rockers to sentimentals, with his music and his spectacular performances and videos. I remember when I, as a kid, would save up every penny to buy his music tapes (cassettes then) or his posters or post cards. Those were the little joys and excitement!!! He played a good part in my growing up - it was always magical to watch his beautiful videos and watch him dance. He will be greatly missed!!!RIP!!!

Heat goes up!!!

In my head, I have been weaving some themes/look to be shot, just to entertain myself and also to enhance this blog of mine, but I have been procrastinating that. Kudos to all the bloggers who actually make an effort to work hard for their blogs. And they are definitely appreciated.

I usually do not list down the clothes I wear unless it's really worth it. The final look instantly reminded me of Elle Driver from Kill Bill, faintly. Maybe it's the long socks, which was actually a panty hose that I never wore. So cut them short and added the lace. Love the short red skirt though it's a little too dangerous for the crowd here. The photograph on the left was taken during my NIFT days and was originally black and white.

Come Together!!!

We never had to say goodbye
It was already written on the sand
As foot prints shied away
To be washed into the waves

Terrible at poetry I guess!!!
2 images juxtaposed - all experiments!!!Nothing more!!!

Street Style #1

I have been contemplating on posting street styles but honestly, taking the city I live in, it is a little more than difficult to come across people who stand out and look good and be original too. The problem here is you see many replicas of one another, unlike Bangalore and Bombay, where it is more cosmopolitan and multi-cultured. Yet, I shall continue my quest.

This is a photograph I took from my backdoor view. Love the sunset color.

Street style #1 - This is a picture of my sister which she sent some months back. I thought I should start my street style with something that I find trendy and amongst 'most-wanted' things on my list. I love that bohemian-ish bag with all the details, and her winter boots. Wish Delhi was that cold in winters, if it meant being able to wear such sexy boots!!! Love the whole look.Way to go 'sistah'!!!

Beautiful Girl!!!

Painting beautiful things randomly is such fun and a good way to relax too. And the satisfaction you feel with the end-product is really worth it all...it just adds a smile to your face!!

Paper Cars

It was a hot evening and I already had plans to catch up with some friends over a drink. I know it is not very wise to take the local transportation wearing a short balloon skirt like this but for some few not-very-rich people like me who is yet to own a car (wish a sexy private plane) and yet loves to dress up to the occasion, sometimes I have to ignore some unwanted stares to look good. We all had a fun evening.

Love the sequin work on the black top, which was bought from a small store in Bombay.

Hip!!!

The tee-shirt is finally done and wearable. I am working on another one at the moment. Bought this black suede belt from Goa. It looks really hippie.

Paint N Glass

“There are things known and things unknown and in between are the doors.” - Jim Morrison, The Doors (1943 - 1971).

Painted windows should do just right for me. It was fun. Looking out for more inanimate objects to bear the brunt of my handiwork. (The silly window that divides my room and the rest of the world).

Pocahontas

I have been to MIA and really, it wasn't that great. The weather's been really mischievous with all the sun and the heat and then the rain with some light hail storm and the tempestuous breeze and all the silk wool flying around - it was bautiful and I am not complaining. I did not do anything interesting though. Just took some lonesome photographs. Finally wearing the head band that I made last time. A friend complimented that it reminds her of Pocahontas. Oh the joy!!!

Pre Vacation

Another headband that I made with ribbons and some beads this time. I am back to my lazy phase again. But the news is I am about to embark on a trip to a nearby hill station in 2 days time. Well, I promise to do plentiful of photography, be a typical interested tourist and also have fun.

Rain Makes Me Moody Good

Last night was raining beautiful and crazy for about an hour. And since it was 'save the Earth' day too, I also volunteered to switch out the lights for an hour and felt connected as ONE with the World. This is taken through my window which looks very dramatic owing to the streetlamps and the romantic dance of the swaying trees to the powerful rain.
Anyway, this morning's paper had an interesting article on this unknown US based graphic animator called Nina Paley who has come up with an inspiring animation called 'Sita Sings the Blues'. I just had to google her instantly.

Pitter patter on my window sill.

Everything under the Sun

It's cold. It's warm. It's chilly. It's windy. It's hot. It's gloomy. It's everything at the moment. Except rain. And when that thought just came to my mind it started pouring heavy tonight all of a sudden. This is how the weather is at the moment. In Delhi. And what's bizarre is this weather just wouldn't let you make up your mind whether you should dress warm (and when you do that the sun suddenly scorches down on you!) or wear something light (and the sun just wouldn't show up!). So I have been playing it safe by ingeniously dressing up to tackle any of these maddening climatic transformation - by simply throwing in some light and warm clothes together. Bet everybody is doing just that!
This is a beautiful handmade scarf from China. It's somewhat got weight because of the extensive detailed and intricate bead work. And though it looks very sophisticated, I can do it up to look casual at times.

This is what I wore out yesterday to meet some friends. The weather was gloomy throughout and by the time I was home, there was a slight drizzle of rain. Well, I got my shorts and a white shirt in case it gets hot, and my leg warmers and this exquisite scarf to keep me handy for the cool breeze.

Crimson Light

I know its a little too much but I just love the crimson luminance from my night lamp, and so I went 'click click' late last night all by myself. And I just didn't have to work on the photographs at all. It's amazing how colours can transform the world.

Snow White

It was a sunny morning when I woke up and had the whole day to myself. So I thought why not do the one thing thats been on my mind for a couple of days - go shoe shopping!!!Now let me tell you that I usually go for anything in flats - funky but flat shoes. But lately, this thought of owning a pair of them sexy high heels has been raging in my head over and over, and I thought 'why not?'. It took me the whole day, not forgetting irking many salesmen from many many stores before I finally landed on this gorgeous from Mango. It was exorbitantantly priced (according to me) but I just could not deny myself such a beauty. It should be worth the buy. Hopefully.

Pretty Frills

It was on-the-spot visualisation that prompted me to make this frilly butter roses headgear last night. Its the first attempt so its somewhat tacky. Well, all I have to do now is get various materials and experiment more. I already have an idea for a crazy neck piece that should convince me to go to Chandni Chowk one fine day to pick up beautiful beads and knick-knacks. Hey, fun just got started!!!
Reminds me of Little Bo Peep.

Black or Colour?

Started painting on this tee two weeks back (too many breaks in between), still not done completely. Thinking of adding a touch of a bright colour (red or pink) here and there...hmmm...not too sure 'cos I think all black is just fine. Open to suggestions.

Damn! (all apologies for the swear word)!!! I just wish I knew how to really really post large-size images. This is really taking away my joy. Will somebody help me?
